Why Sewing Together Feels So Good (And Why It Works)

Sewing may be something you do alone, but sewing alongside others can boost focus, creativity, and connection. Here’s why sewing together feels so good – and why it matters.

Sewing a reversible quilted jacket with pockets on Sewing a reversible quilted jacket with pockets on both sides is fantastic until you need to wash it and need to check all four pockets for tissues 🤧🤧🤧

As chief clothes washer and the only person to put tissues in my pockets I don’t always remember to check.

Many times I’ve had to flick out clothes and create my own snowfall ❄️❄️❄️

Get your sewing projects organised in one place wi Get your sewing projects organised in one place with your very own Sewing Planner.

Use these printable templates along with a blank notebook in A5 or half letter (I like spiral notebooks), and start filling in details on your sewing goals, pattern measurements and sewing projects.

I’ve used this method for over 10 years and I’ve found having a physical notebook next to my sewing machine allows me to jot down notes, and look up machine settings, to make my sewing more enjoyable.

Available to purchase through my Etsy store, see link in bio.

Or for only a very short time join my Sewing Days community for free lifetime access and you can download it for free. see bio.

Lets get sewing 🧵🧵🧵
